What
I've Learned Since Graduation
High school was not so bad, however, I lived in a convent, because my parents were so strict; therefore it afforded my children more freedom because I wanted them to be able to do the things I didn't get to do. They traveled with strangers, skied, went to Washington, D. C.
The
Last 35 Years
I graduated from DBU with a degree in accounting. I have worked in the family picture framing business for 33 years. I have been married for almost 35 years. I have two children. Michael is 33, a graduate of UNT and works for Software Architects, he is a computer geek. He is the father of my precious granddaughter, Marilynn almost 3. Kelly is 29, a recent widow. She is a manager for AT&T. Kelly has my two granddogs, Xena a miniature dachshund and 3 month old schnauzer, Ace. I have kept myself busy since the nest is empty by painting, scrapbooking and now my newest passion, making glass beads. I also am involved in Chamber activities in DeSoto, where I work and live. I am also on the board of a newly organized organization, DeSoto Women's Alliance. Needless to say, never a dull moment at my house.
