Fondest - Loading/cramming 5, 6, &
even 7 people into my Volkswagen to go to the advanced biology class at
Fair Park.
Worst – Probably few people worked harder than I did at
avoiding embarrassment. It didn’t work BTW. I wish I had something
really good to laugh about from back then.
What
I've Learned Since Graduation
Have you ever wanted a “Do Over”? I
have accumulated a whole list of “Do Overs”... things that I wish I
hadn’t done or had done; or hadn’t said; or hadn’t written.
Unfortunately, whenever I locate the “Un Do” button, it’s grayed out!
So, my prayer is that I will have the grace to make right the things in
my power to make right; the grace to give a heartfelt apology when
that’s all I can do; and, as long as I’m alive there is a future.

Last 35 Years

My dad really hasn’t had a life outside of his
family, church, and job. He was in the military for 22 years, so we
lived in “exotic” places such as Nebraska (9 years). But all I remember
are Illinois and San Antonio. And that’s where he retired (San
Antonio). So after about 7 years in San Antonio we moved to the DFW
area (Haltom City) to be nearer to family. My dad and my mom made two
awesome men…My brothers Mel 27 and Will 23. Mel’s married to the belle
of Kingsport, TN, Jillian, and they live in Colorado Springs, while my
other brother, Will, lives in New York pursuing his acting career. And
me, Emily, well they didn’t make me; I was their Christmas Baby in 1990
adopted from Seoul, Korea. My dad wanted me to include our email for
