What I've Learned Since Graduation

That is nice to be me! My family and friends like, trust, care about and love me and I am blessed to have them in my life. Because Life REALLY is TOO short to worry about the little things!

The Last 35 Years

Where do I start? Married 35 years to a great husband, Rick; 2 great kids by birth; another by marriage and  soon another; 10 grandkids –6 by blood and 4 by marriage (happening this summer) - 5 of which were my work for over 6 years, I day-cared anywhere from 1 to all 5 – it was wonderful, but sure did add to the silver in my hair!

Our son, Sean (32+) produced Joey (5) & Paris (3). But he and Jenn (32+) will tie the knot in June.  She has 4 boys – ages Tyler (10), Austin (12), Cody (13.5) & Justin (16). Our daughter, Elena "Lany" (28+) & "Payo" (30+) produced Tori (8), Lexi (8) & Olivia (2) and hopefully it’s a boy that’s on its way this July!

We still live in our same 1st house in Grand Prairie, TX, but we did move for 3 years to Greenville, TX (used to have 18 acres there -- live in a 2-room "house", plus a small travel trailer -- but that's another story). Our son stayed behind in G.P. so we had this house to come back to.

We attend Lake Point Church-Town East in Mesquite, near the mall. I love Southwest decor; doing stitcheries & sewing (although not much time for that); emailing friends & family; gardening (planning to overhaul my backyard this year); playing Bunco & other board games; working some in the Church nursery with the babies; and of course, being Nana! I've accomplished a lot. Still TO DO: loose weight; learn to not talk so much (yeah, I still do that); travel to see more of the U.S. (including Alaska & Hawaii), plus some of Europe; win the lottery, so I can give half of it away (sorry - charities already decided upon!); build our dream house on 2-4 acres of land (hopefully just East of Dallas); and spend more time with family & friends.
All in all, it's a wonderful life - sometimes a little short on the funds, but always plentiful on the rewards!
