The
Last 35 Years
To sum it up quickly, 3
marriages, 6 great (and thankfully grown) kids, 4 wonderful grandkids,
(they call me G Daddy) 7 guitars, 2 amps, 3 keyboards, 1 portable
recording studio, and for some reason I'm still alive. I left Oak Cliff in
1970 for the bright lights of North Dallas, but they were a little too
bright for me so in 1980 I moved to Austin, bought a house, and figured
I'd live out my life in the hill country. Funny how life can hit you with
a surprise when you least expect it. I moved to Fort Worth in May and I
love it here.
I've continued playing in bands and writing songs over the years, God
knows not for the money, but for the love of the song. Now I'm playing
solo as Buddy Musick. I've found a couple of places to play weekly here in
Cowtown and I've re-connected with some longtime musicians from the old
days in OC and Dallas.
By the way, when that TV show first came on (The OC) I thought it was
about Oak Cliff and I couldn't figure out how they made Kidd Springs look
like the ocean.
So that's about it for my life so far. I hope to hear from any of you that
want to talk old times or new times. I can be reached at

Peace and Love Ya'll
