Fondest/Worst Memory
Fondest memories are working in the library and
Senior Day.
After 35 years it's hard to think of bad memories.
What
I've Learned Since Graduation
That life is short and the people we're blessed with
in our lives are very precious, and that being a grandma is really a great
thing to be!
The
Last 35 Years
I've been married to
Dwight for 30 years and we have two children and one grandson, Taylor.
Jennifer is a nurse and mother of our only grandchild, and Kirk, a Navy
Seabee stationed in Norfolk. After many years of being a stay-at-home Mom,
I finally returned to school and completed my Masters degree in 1997, just
in time to retire from UTA shortly after. We've recently moved to Colorado
after living in Burleson, Texas for the past 25 years. The weather and the
views of the mountains are both things you don't find in Texas and we've
enjoyed traveling to different parts of the state we never had time for on
yearly vacations. We love to travel, both within the states and
internationally and our motto has become "have suitcase will travel".
Although I always thought 50+ year olds were ancient, I've discovered it's
really a pretty neat stage of life and when I think about all I've learned
since graduation you couldn't pay me enough to go back and be 17 again!
