Fondest / Worst Memory:
Graduating from Sunset and renting a room to get out of my parents house
and get out on my own away from their wacky rules and regulations. They
were so lame back then.
What
I've Learned Since Graduation: I've learned that Sunset High
School and Oak Cliff were a pretty cool place to be in the late 60s and
early 70s and that best friends in some ways are the closest of family
members.
The
Last 35 Years:
I married Debbie Danoff (a 1974 Sunset
grad) in 1983. Both her mother and my father also went to Sunset. We
have had two daughters (Keri and Kelly). Keri is our oldest, 25 years
old. She graduated from TAMU and is a teacher at Kingwood High School.
Our youngest is 22 years old at this writing and is still living at
home. We have lived at the same home in Plano for the past 15 years. I
am employed by a commercial real estate company as a Chief Engineer in a
36 floor high rise office tower in downtown Dallas. Debbie is an
orthodontic assistant in nearby Allen TX. We have an 85 pound Golden
Retriever and a 6 pound Chihuahua and 4 cats (all indoors). Our best
friends in life are also Sunset graduates from the 70s. Jeff McGraw,
David Creach, Tom Betz - we get together regularly but not enough.
