Occupation:
Masters Level Social Worker at
Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. I work in the neonatal unit.
Children: Same
three sons I’ve had at every reunion prior to this one.
Clint, Danny and
Dustin. They are finally all adults I like.

7 y.o. beautiful petite blonde with blue eyes, and Jake 4 ½ y.o.
adorable
brown eyed terrorist.
Spouse:
Okay,
I’ve had a few but don’t have any now and I’m not looking. I’m living and
loving the single life for the first time in a LONG time.
Car I Drove: WHEN I drove
it was my mom’s metallic blue Chrysler with a
push button transmission.
Hangout: Cruising
Kiest Park or going to Angie Villanueva’s house with
Kathy (where I
nurtured my crush on Eddie).
Song:
Any
kind of “folk music” by the Poco Seco singers or Peter, Paul and Mary. Of
course I
also loved Led Zeppelin.

Teacher: Iris
Farmer and Darlene Pitts. Both were so caring and fun!
Fondest Memory:
Singing in the “Troop Group” with Debbie Philen and Debbie Abernethy.
Getting the lead in the Bison Night play.
Worst Memory:
Not
making the choir (Mr. White hated me) and not going to any of my senior
activities because I was married and pregnant (still
not sure how that pregnancy thing happened). Oh the humility of it all...
What
I've Learned Since Graduation
You
don’t always get what you want, your parents don’t live forever, once
you’ve had kids you are never NOT a parent, it’s surreal to be someone’s
“Mi Mi”, a good belly laugh can cure almost anything and life is what you
make of it.
The
Last 35 Years
I’ve been busy finding myself. So far I’ve found myself a few husbands, a
few exes, a few jobs, a new Red VW convertible, and a new roommate (Kathy
C.). I’ve upsized, downsized and capsized and I’ve always managed to land
on my feet. I lived life backwards by marrying
way too young and having kids
and THEN going to college and getting both my undergrad (age 39) and
masters (age 49) in social work; a profession that nourishes my soul and
pays better than most people think. And no, it
isn’t always rewarding and
some days I am more into the “social” part than I am the “worker” part.
I’ve laughed more than I’ve cried and I have recently reconnected with old
Bison buddies and sang Karaoke and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’m
better now in my 50’s than I ever was at 18, 21, 30, or 40. Wish I was
there to see everyone again and to share in the memories and to dance like
no one is watching. Instead I’m on a cruise ship headed back to Miami
where I’ve probably been “over served” (I’m never drunk, just over
served). We can all get together for the slide show of my vacation when I
return.J
